| ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project |
| Since its inception in 1920, the ACLU has recognized that personal privacy and reproductive rights are among our most important constitutional liberties. The ACLU was the first national organization to argue for abortion rights before the Supreme Court, and has been the principal defender of those rights since 1973, when the Court recognized the right to choose in Roe v. Wade. |
| Abortion Conversation Project |
Independent abortion providers founded the National Coalition of Abortion Providers (NCAP), a 501 c4, in 1990 to meet their networking, political and business needs. The Abortion Conversation Project, a 501 c3, draws on the energy and resources of NCAP clinic members.
As independent abortion providers, they believe that the conversation about abortion in this country must change to include the reality of abortion. The real life experiences of providers and women themselves will enable people to understand and appreciate the complex moral decision making surrounding a pregnancy decision. |
