| MARAL Pro-Choice Michigan is a statewide non-partisan membership organization that works through the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancies, bearing healthy children and choosing legal abortion. MARAL Pro-Choice Michigan seeks a part-time interns across the state, assisting with our membership and electoral outreach, volunteer recruitment, and educational programs. This position is unpaid. - Registering, educating and mobilizing MARAL Pro-Choice Michigan members.
- Identifying pro-choice voters in key districts through phonebanking and door-to-door canvassing.
Participating in Get Out The Vote activities. Recruiting volunteers for electoral activities. Holding volunteer nights and attending regular community meetings and events. Responding to volunteer inquiries and concerns. Assisting with fundraising as needed. Assisting with data entry and general office help as needed.
Qualifications: - Dedication to the cause of reproductive freedom.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to represent MARAL Pro-Choice Michigan in public.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the capacity to motivate others.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Computer literacy, web skills preferred.
- Ability to work some nights and weekends.
- Statewide travel sometimes necessary.
